Seconds Apart is best defined as a unique blend of heavy melodic grooves complimented by infectiously catchy vocals; presented in a finely polished, highly energetic live show. This refreshing take on rock music has catapulted Seconds Apart into a dominant role as leaders in their local music scene.
In mid 2005 Indy NoseBone welcomed Jimmy Thow and David Boyle to the band. Jimmy is a well established vocalist from the West Coast and David is an extremely skilled drummer both creatively and technically. Both Jimmy and Dave have brought new elements to Seconds Apart which has resulted in a massive public interest as reflected in their debut show being packed, along with a selling out of their merchandise and 3 song demo. The first single Juvenile is on regular rotation on Freq107 (Wpg) and also on numerous internet and college radio stations throughout North America. The potential of the band is limitless and even though the new line up has only performed one local show as a unit, they have already garnered the interest of Industry Insiders.

It all started when guitarist Nick Steckler started playing guitar in order to look cool while working during the midnight shift at a local gas station. He soon ran into Alan Cambell when the drummer stopped in to get gas and smokes. After discovering that they had a shared interest in becoming inebriated and making loud, raucous noise they decided to form a band. After consuming vast quantities of beer and going through many lineup changes Nick eventually learned how to play (somewhat) and Five Hundred Pound Furnace was born. The lineup of Five Hundred Pound Furnace was finally rounded out with the addition of bassist Andy Ehlers and bassist-turned-vocalist Kyle Ellefson in the winter of 04/05. Since their debut on the Winnipeg scene in Aug 2005, Five Hundred Pound Furnace have been wowing audiences with their energetic stage antics and their own brand of punky, riff heavy, catchy, headbanger-friendly hard rock n'roll. After a year of suffering terrible migraines, drummer Alan Cambell was forced to quit the band in Sep. '06. The Furnace knew they had found the perfect replacement in Bobby C when he showed up bearing 2 cases of beer. By miraculous coincidence he also happened to play the drums. Funny how these things work!

With the ever-growing music scene in Winnipeg, Coda has stood out and made a name for themselves as a progressive, hardcore, alternative rock band. With their blistering energy and against the grain explosiveness on stage, Coda never comes short of delivering an unforgettable performance.

In lieu of having two guitarists,
Coda incorporates a unique style of piano playing which brilliantly harmonizes with an arrangement of thick and trendy guitar riffs. Coda hits hard with their expressive blaring behind the mic, yet still keeping a clean, vibrant sound with catchy vocal melodies.

While many bands claim to have a unique sound of their own,
Coda can truly say they have a feel so characteristic that you have to hear it to believe it. With a distinctive style of piano playing, heavy guitar rhythms, powerful vocals, and hard-hitting dynamics behind the drums, Coda is set apart from the rest, yet still keeping a viable sound.
Coda wishes to further their careers as musicians, and work hard together towards goals of becoming respected musicians in the Canadian music industry.

Born in a bar fight in a local Winnipeg tavern, Lucid was formed by the remaining members of Black Demina. Chris, Sean and Aaron had decided that they would get back on their feet with a new guitar player. Reigning from the hard hitting punk sound of Strip the Label (a calgary based band) Carlin Starr joined the Party. His heavy licks and kick ass attitude put a new face on the boys. All they needed to fill their heavy yet tasty sound was a ballsy bottom end, and they found it in a little ol' country boy who could make a city crumble with one pluck of his strings. That BOY goes by the alias of Mr. Wade Turner. After a few solid jams the boys knew they had a sound that would make even your girlfriend second guess her morals. bringin back the art of guitar solos, Hard hitting guitar licks, angered bass lines, busty banging drum beats and massive vocals were soon to be this bands main concern. A few months went by and the boys figured they had enough material to hit the stage. After a few broken bottles and black eyes Lucid became a regular name around the infamous Zoo bathroom walls. Thier live, sleezy, back alley attitude and extremely loud stage show is one to remember, not to mention the heeps of gorgeous woman at every event. At the moment the boys are working hard writing new material, drinking a plenty and keeping up the momentum.Stay Tuned for more LUCID news...
